Dr. Dirk Zurek,

Chairman & CEO of november AG since January 2008

Dr. Dirk Zurek studied both political sciences (degree in political science) and jurisprudence at the Philipps University of Marburg. After receiving his PhD in philosophy he started his business career as general manager of the Neue Medien-Beratung-Schulung GbR. After that, Dr. Zurek worked as key account manager and account director marketing in the segment telecommunication for various companies, e.g. ALLCASH Servicegesellschaft für Elektronische Zahlungssysteme mbH, UNISYS Deutschland GmbH and for the Utimaco Safeware AG in the area of Transaction Security. Dr. Zurek was also general manager of  RP6-Projektentwicklung, a company providing consulting services to small and mid-size companies in connection with the Sixth European Framework Program (RP6). Before starting with november AG, he was managing shareholder of Detesec GmbH.

Guenter Frankenne,
Chairman of the Board

Mr. Guenter Frankenne is managing owner of the STRATCON company and has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has a degree in economics. 1968 he joined the market research department of Sandoz AG, Nuremberg. After heading several business departments, he was put in charge of Marketing & Sales, Business Development and Health Economics of the Wander Pharma GmbH in 1982, where he later advanced to general manager. In 1989 he was appointed member of the board of Sandoz AG while continuing to be general manager of Wander Pharma GmbH. 1994 he became chairman of the board of Sandoz AG. In the years 1997 to 1998, he accompanied the merger of Sandoz and Ciba Geigy to Novartis Pharma GmbH in his capacity as Vice Chairman of the executive board of Novartis Pharma GmbH. Mr. Frankenne served a number of years as chairman of the health committee of the federal association of the pharmaceutical industry (Bundesverband der Pharmazeutischen Industrie BPI) and later on he became vice chairman of the executive board of the association of researching drug companies (Verband Forschender Arzneimittelhersteller VFA). After leaving the Novartis corporation end of 1998, Guenter Frankenne founded the STRATCON company.

Martin Behrens,

Vice Chairman

Mr. Martin Behrens is a lawyer and partner of Behrens Dostal Partnership of Lawyers in Eschbach. After studying law in Germany, Mr. Behrens worked as scientific assistant in international and Anglo-American law. He is practicing law since 1992, and since 2007 is also specialist on taw law. Additionally, Mr. Behrens is lecturer at the college of Calw, teaching tax law.

Rainer Königsfeld,
Member of the Board

Mr. Rainer Königsfeld started his professional career after completing his eduction in office administration in 1976. His job history includes e.g. Siemens AG, Aluchrom AG, wrt-Laborbau GmbH and GE Capital Modular Space. In 2005, Mr. Königsfeld additionally became medical advisor according the §31 of the Medical Device Act (MpG).
